What is Rhodium?
White gold is the product of alloying natural yellow gold with other metals to give it a white-ish color. Because gold is the main ingredient and gold is yellow, white gold has a hint of yellowishness to it. To give it a pure white finish, jewelry stores have been plating white gold with Rhodium – a metal in the platinum family. When it wears off over time, you have to get it re-plated to make it pure white again. Fortunately, we’ve got you covered. Rhodium plating takes less than an hour and starts at $30. If you have more than one white gold ring, we’ll do the second and third ring for half off!
